Budimex has further strengthened its cooperation with the academic community through the establishment of the Budimex Zone at Bialystok University of Technology. This newly opened space is designed as a multifunctional environment that supports learning, relaxation, collaboration, and personal development. Its purpose is to provide students with a place where they can rest, exchange ideas, work on projects, and engage with one another in an atmosphere that encourages creativity and professional growth. The zone also serves as an important link between students and Budimex, introducing opportunities to participate in internships, explore career paths in the construction sector, and form connections that may shape their future professional trajectories.
The creation of the Budimex Zone is part of a broader cooperation agreement signed between Budimex and Bialystok University of Technology in 2022. The partnership encompasses joint research initiatives, academic publications, and a variety of educational and promotional activities, including the long-standing Budimex Internship Program. Through this collaboration, the company aims to contribute to the development of qualified professionals in the fields of construction, architecture, engineering, and project management, while the university benefits from closer ties to industry practice and real-world applications of academic knowledge.
The official opening of the Budimex Zone took place on November 5 and brought together representatives of both the company and the university. The ceremony was attended by the Rector of Bialystok University of Technology, Prof. Marta Kosior-Kazberuk, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Prof. Jacek Żmojda, and Budimex Regional Director, Paweł Janicki. During the event, company and university representatives highlighted the importance of collaboration and the shared responsibility to invest in young talent.

In his remarks, Paweł Janicki emphasized that Budimex views the development of human potential as a strategic priority. “At Budimex, we believe that the true value of an investment lies not only in the construction itself, but in what is created between people – trust, cooperation, and shared values. That is why, with the same passion that we bring to construction projects, we also invest in education and the development of young talents. Budimex Zones are meant to inspire learning and professional growth, showing students how dynamic, creative, and full of opportunity the construction industry can be,” he stated.
Rector Prof. Marta Kosior-Kazberuk shared a similar perspective, underscoring the university’s mission to create not only a place of academic instruction but also an environment where students can build relationships, grow personally, and prepare for professional challenges. “Bialystok University of Technology is a place of learning, but also a space for development and connection. We want students to feel that the university inspires, supports, and energizes them to take action. Cooperation with companies such as Budimex bridges the world of science and practical experience, supporting the development of young professionals in the construction sector. The zone we are opening today was created with the comfort and needs of our students in mind,” she said.
The design of the Budimex Zone places strong emphasis on ergonomics and modern aesthetics. Comfortable seating arrangements, areas for group work, quiet corners for individual study, and open spaces that encourage informal discussions all contribute to a balanced and engaging learning environment. The space aims to support not only academic tasks but also the overall well-being of students—recognizing that rest, creativity, and shared experiences are integral to effective education.
The establishment of the Budimex Zone at Bialystok University of Technology is not an isolated initiative. It aligns with Budimex’s long-term commitment to supporting Polish technical education at various levels. In September 2025, the company opened a similar zone at the Stanisław Noakowski Technical School of Architecture and Construction in Warsaw. These projects form part of a strategic investment in the future workforce, especially in industries where practical knowledge, technical competencies, and hands-on experience play a critical role.
Budimex has a long history of collaboration with educational institutions. The company has signed 27 cooperation agreements with universities across Poland and has formed strategic partnerships with 47 technical and vocational schools. Through these activities, Budimex contributes to strengthening Poland’s engineering and construction talent pipeline, supporting the growth of young professionals, and enhancing the competitiveness of the national construction sector. The company’s involvement includes not only sponsorship of spaces and equipment but also the development of internship programs, guest lectures, site visits, mentoring opportunities, and participation in academic events.
The Budimex Zone at Bialystok University of Technology thus stands as a tangible representation of this philosophy. It is more than a study lounge or meeting area; it is a place intended to foster ambition, curiosity, and collaboration. For students, it offers an opportunity to better understand the realities of the construction industry and to take their first steps toward a professional future. For the university, it strengthens ties to industry leaders and enriches the educational ecosystem. And for Budimex, it reflects a commitment to building not only structures, but also relationships and shared value within the communities it serves.
